Market Opens: Indian indices opened higher on October 9 as Reserve Bank of India’s Governor Shaktikanta Das will announce decisions of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) shortly.

At 09:16 IST, the Sensex was up 103.42 points or 0.26% at 40286.09, and the Nifty was up 34.10 points or 0.29% at 11868.70. About 624 shares have advanced, 314 shares declined, and 49 shares are unchanged.
